Another nomination for Errol’s Garden!

When we wrote about Errol’s Garden being nominated for Children’s Audiobook of the Year at the 2026 Week Junior Book Awards, we talked about how extraordinary it felt to see a project that began around a café table travel so far.

We certainly didn’t expect to have another exciting announcement so soon.

Errol’s Garden has also been nominated for a British Podcast Award!

This feels particularly special because of the journey the story has taken. What began as a picture book became a stage musical, survived the challenges of the pandemic and then found a new life through audio.

A peek into our process

Creating Errol’s Garden as an audiobook allowed us to explore the story in a completely different way, using voices, music and sound to bring Errol’s rooftop garden to life through the listener’s imagination.

To now be recognised by the British Podcast Awards is a wonderful reminder of how many different ways stories can reach children and families.

We’re incredibly proud of everyone who has helped Errol’s Garden grow — our creative team, performers, partners, funders, and most importantly, the audiences who have embraced Errol’s story.

And Errol’s garden is still growing…

Did you know: we recorded Errol’s Garden music and spoken word separately (songs at Auburn Jam Studios, narration at Small Wardour).

The tracks use a combination of live musicans and virtual instruments.
